Showroom Coordinator
Job description:
You're the first person a homeowner, builder or designer meets when they walk into the showroom. You know who's here, what they came for, and who should be helping them. And because The Design Center sits inside a family of companies, you're the one who connects them so every customer gets the whole job taken care of in one place.
BRING THE COMPANY TOGETHER FOR THE CUSTOMER
This is the heart of the job. A customer who comes in for flooring often has additional sales opportunities in the same project. You ask about the whole project, spot where we can help, and bring in the right people.
Introduce customers to the lumberyard, garage door division, and all The Design Center departments team when their project calls for it
Hand off leads with the details already gathered, so the next person picks up where you left off
Keep the departments talking to each other on shared customers
Follow up and make sure every piece of the project landed with someone
RUN THE FRONT OF THE SHOWROOM
Greet everyone who walks in, learn what they're working on, and log the visit
Answer phones and return voicemails the same day
Book design appointments and keep the team's calendars running smoothly
Check samples in and out and keep track of them
Keep the floor clean and the displays stocked and current
Receive vendor deliveries and sample shipments and get new material onto the floor
Shoot photos of new product and finished displays for our social channels
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Retail or front-desk experience
Interest in interiors, flooring, cabinets or building materials — curiosity counts more than expertise
Curious about the whole project, not only the part in front of you
Enjoys connecting people and following a lead through to the finish
Steady on a busy floor, clear on the phone, organized enough to track several samples at once
Available for rotating Saturdays
